A permanent on-site Butterfly Peace Path labyrinth can be designed to fit in any size space or location, and can be fashioned from a limitless palette of materials.
It could be permanently painted on a gymnasium, foyer or cafeteria floor, or on a smooth playground surface. It could also be built in the landscape with grass, bricks, boulders, flowers, recyclables, found objects, concrete, painted
rocks, earthmounds, gravel or shrubs
--- whatever inspires the imagination.
OPTIONS:
1. We Do All the Work, You Sit Back And Enjoy:
The simplest solution for people who are already way too busy is to have us lay out the designed pattern at your site, and then build the entire labyrinth for you.
The cost varies considerably depending on the site challenges, dimensions of your particular Butterfly Peace Path design and the materials used for construction.
The design fee is $1450 plus expenses, labor and travel. Additionally, materials could range from $0 (if donated or scavenged) upwards to $25,000, or even more if you have chosen highly expensive materials or overly labor-intensive construction techniques. Ultimately, you’re in control of what your Butterfly Peace Path will cost as it will be determined in the on-going dialogue between you and the designer.
2. We Install It With Your Volunteer Help:
This is a great alternative for organizations that have a reliable body of hard working volunteers. Labor costs can be significantly decreased the more your team chips in.
At one school the materials cost was nearly nothing because the students each brought in one rock from home which were painted in art class, and then laid in the butterfly pattern by our staff. Another school realized considerable labor savings by having their Parent-Teacher Organization volunteers work side by side with our staff on the installation.
Again, the cost will vary considerably depending on the site challenges, dimensions of your particular Butterfly Peace Path design and the materials used for construction.
The design fee is $1450 plus our labor, expenses, and travel. Additionally, materials could range from $0 (if donated or scavenged) upwards to $25,000, or even more if you have chosen particularly expensive materials or overly labor-intensive construction techniques. The more your team contributes in labor, the less our labor costs will be.
3. We Provide You With A Design, Lay it Out At Your Site, And Your Volunteers Do The Labyrinth Building:
This is an excellent way to create a Butterfly Peace Path if you have a group of folks who are willing to pitch in a few days ordering and assembling supplies, wheel-barrowing materials around, lifting, shoveling, raking and bending over a lot.
After the design has been finalized, the construction materials have been selected and you have prepared the site to our specifications, we’ll come and “draw” the Butterfly Peace Path on the ground (generally a combination of spray paint and surveyor flags). From there, your crew does the rest.
The cost for this option is $2450 for the drawing and our layout time, plus expenses and travel costs. The other costs would include your volunteer labor, the cost of the materials you have to buy to build or paint the labyrinth and any consulting time you may need from us along the way.
4. You Purchase Our Design And Build It Entirely Yourselves:
Although we don’t recommend it, there are some groups and individuals who want to adventure out totally on their own, or they simply want to keep their expenses to an absolute minimum.
The cost for this option is $1750 for the drawing, installation instructions and the use of our trademarked design, plus expenses and any travel costs for meetings or for us to see your site prior to design. Additionally, if at any time you feel you would like further assistance, we would be available at our hourly consulting rate.
