Tempoprary Butterfly Peace Paths can be created out of an infinite number of temporary materials in order to fit a specific theme, season, holiday or ceremony.

OPTIONS:

1. Butterfly Peace Path Painted on Canvas:

These gorgeous labyrinths are hand-painted butterflies on square (36’ x 36’) canvas that comes in three 12-foot wide sections, complete with Velcro edges for easy fitting. Gymnasiums, cafeterias and large conference rooms usually work, but be sure that you have a large enough space to accommodate it before you consider this option! Thirty-six feet is BIG!



Each one is artistically unique. Yours can be created with hand-drawn lines or hand-stamped with stencils, and you can even choose the color. Usually only the lines are painted, not the paths, but for a little extra we can paint the paths, too. Darker colors work better than lighter colors. If you want a specific color, go to Home Depot, Menards or Ace Hardware and pick out a color swatch (flat paint) to send to us. If ordering by email, include the color name, number and manufacturer. If you prefer to order a generic color, such as "purple" or "maroon" or "navy blue," you will receive our interpretation of what those colors are.

Our supplier uses industrial grade 100% cotton #12 untreated canvas duck. Duck is a type of weave that is very dense and holds paint well. It is usually free of defects, but there is an occasional thread line or loom mark. The canvas is natural in color (light beige). It weighs 11.4 ounces per square yard.

Our canvas Butterfly Peace Path labyrinths are shipped in plastic containers with wheels. The price includes the shipping container and the cost of ground transportation within the continental United States.

2. Temporary (indoors or outdoors) Butterfly Peace Path Installations:

These one-of-a-kindlabyrinths are often used for events of short duration such as a weekend festivall or a day-long ceremony. They can be created out of an infinite number of materials in order to fit your specific theme, season, holiday or ceremony.

Our focus is on making Butterfly Peace Paths, but some of the other more fanciful temporary labyrinths we have created include:

• A Wedding Labyrinth perched in a meadow on the top of a mountain, laid out with thousands of freshly picked daisies and mums.
• A Dolphin Labyrinth using “sand dunes” between the paths, sea shells galore, driftwood, bottles containing messages, a bubbling fountain and two 3’ tall brass dolphins at the entrance.
• A Food Shelf Labyrinth used as a non-profit organization’s fundraiser. People were asked in advance to bring canned and boxed goods to the event, whereupon the donated items were placed along the path lines of the labyrinth design we had drawn on the floor. At the end of the event, when the labyrinth walk was over, the food items were bagged up and given to the local food shelf.
• A Pink Flamingo Labyrinth created for a 3-day music and arts festival. The festival organizers requested “whimsy” and what they got was a labyrinth graced with a flock of plastic pink flamingos, colorful flags, banners and very kitsch green and pink cones, balls and rings. The “kids” in the crowd flocked to it with glee!
• A Harvest Labyrinth made of pumpkins, apples, maple leaves, flowering mums, squash, cornstalks and more
• A Winter Wonderland Labyrinth of fragrant balsam fir branches, billowy snow flakes, wooden angels, twinkly lights and wrapped presents along the paths.

3. Renting a Canvas Butterfly Peace Path Labyrinth:

For those who aren’t quite ready to invest in a labyrinth of their own, or for an easy way to quickly obtain a labyrinth for a celebration or ceremony, renting may be just the thing for your organization. We have a 36’ Butterfly Peace Path labyrinth available to rent on a first-come, first-serve basis.

             Rental Fee:                 $250

The rental fee is per event, with an “event” being a maximum of 2 days (e.g., the total rental fee for the labyrinth is $250 regardless of whether it is needed for 1 or 2 days). Call for a quote if your event is longer than 2 days. You will need to make arrangements to pick it up and drop it off at our Northfield, MN location. If it needs to be shipped, then the cost of two-way shipping will be added to the rental fee.

A fully refundable $500 damage deposit is also required at the time of rental.

4. Hand-Held Butterfly Peace Path Labyrinths:

This brightly colored desk-top tool provides a convenient way to “walk” the Butterfly Peace Path by tracing the pattern with your finger or with a wipe-off marker. Tracing the labyrinth pattern has been shown to be an effective way to feel a deep sense of inner calm and relaxation. The hand tool is great for classrooms, home and office, or for any inclement day when you can’t get out to walk your labyrinth.
